Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town striker Tashreeq Morris reveals that the Urban Warriors academy do not limit the players to one position.
Morris has been one of the star revelations of Roger de Sa’s side with the 21-year-old netting nine goals for the Ikamva based club.
According to KickOff, Morris says that Ajax place no limits on their youngsters when it comes to playing all over the park.
“Look, if you play for Ajax Cape Town, there are a lot of things happening in that academy. They teach you so many things, it is unbelievable. You play right-back, left-back, centre-back and now I’m a striker. So I know things about defending and attacking,” Morris said.
“Our assistant coach Ian Taylor was my coach at Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 and the Second Division team. He knows us quite well. A lot of our players played around the park at junior level so it is not a problem for us.
“If you look at the games I played throughout the season I played as a number nine, right-winger and left-winger. They don’t limit you at Ajax. It makes you a stronger player."
