Cape Town - Former South Africa international Lovers Mohlala feels that Mamelodi Sundowns can still win the Premiership title, despite being eight points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs.

Mohlala was a member of the legendary Sundowns team that won three consecutive league titles between 1998 and 2000, and knows a winning team when he sees one.

Mohlala has suggested that the pressure is all on Chiefs at this point in time and thinks that Sundowns have the capacity to exploit that.

"Looking at the log, I think Sundowns still have a chance to win the league," Mohlala told goal.com.

"If they can win all their remaining games, I think they will win it. Chiefs have been playing badly lately, but you still cannot write them off, though I think they will drop a few more points in their upcoming games," added Mohlala.

Sundowns are still involved in three competitions in 2015 and their chances of winning all three of them are realistic.

Mohlala thinks there is no better incentive for Bafana Ba Style to turn on the style during the business end of the season.

The Sundowns legend thinks that Pitso Mosimane's charges are motivated and ready to cross paths with destiny.

"Sundowns have been playing well under Pitso [Mosimane] this season. They are participating in three different competitions and [they] are doing well in all three of them, and that makes them strong favourites to win the league," said Mohlala.
