According to Soccer Laduma, player’s representative Abel Shongwe, co-director of AbelSam Sports Management has confirmed that the deal was done August 5.

“I would like to thank Maritzburg, especially their coach Steve Komphela, who didn’t hesitate to sign Mohammed after seeing how good he is. This is despite the fact that he was rejected by other teams. Mohammed is a good striker and I’m certain that Maritzburg will get value for their money,” Shongwe said.

Komphela also added Mohau Mokate after the player trained with United. The striker penned a two-year deal with the Team of Choice.

United take on Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday, August 7 at 20:00 in their opening PSL fixture.
