Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teko Modise is set to put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension, with the option of a further 12 months.
Modise had been in the final six months of his current deal at Chloorkop but has since been offered fresh terms, and the 32-year-old's agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, said his client wis pleased with the offer made by the PSL giants.
"Downs offered Modise a new two-plus-one-year deal. It's a great offer and reward for the hard work he has put in at Sundowns," Mahlakgane told the DailySun.
"I'm busy tying up the loose ends and hopefully we will have the contract concluded by the end of the week.
"The club is happy with Modise's efforts over the past few seasons and despite his age (32) Sundowns have been impressed by what he has put in at the club. It's looks good and encouraging for Modise.
"The players at the club look up to and respect Modise while head coach Pitso Mosimane is also impressed by his work effort."
