Modise inks Sundowns deal

Johannesburg - Teko Modise has finalised his much-hyped move to Mamelodi Sundowns and wore a smile as well as shirt number eight.

The former Orlando Pirates playmaker agreed personal terms with the Brazilians on Friday morning and signed on the dotted line to make a switch that was announced yesterday a formality.

The transfer is believed to have cost the Chloorkop outfit around R5m and while Modise will continue to command a high salary - Katlego Mphela is reportedly still the highest-paid player of the club.

The 28-year-old is looking forward to the new challenge and competition for places, which he believes will help him get back to his best at both club and international level.
