Modise blow for Sundowns

Johannesburg - Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that star midfielder, Teko Modise, is suspended for the game against Free State Stars.

According to the Soccer-Laduma website, the Brazilians take on the resurgent Ea Lla Koto in an Absa Premiership game at the Charles Mopeli Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Sundownsfc.co.za revealed, “Teko Modise will miss Tuesday’s league match against Free State Stars as the player affectionately known as ‘The Navigator’ is suspended after accumulating four yellow cards.

Better news for the injury stricken Mamelodi Sundowns side is the possible availability of influential captain Alje Schut.

The Dutch-born defender had been ruled out of action by a quad strain and just the news of him traveling with the team will be greatly welcomed by the technical team, as his influence speaks volumes.

Lebohang Mokoena who was one of the forced substitutions for coach Pitso Mosimane in the victory over Polokwane City seems to have shaken the tight muscles off and has also managed to make the traveling squad.”

Modise has been in scintillating form lately. He scored in the team’s last two games against AmaZulu and Polokwane City respectively.
