South Africa will tackle the Stallions from west Africa on February 9 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium and the new Mamelodi Sundowns signing believes the coach will have every season to omit him.
Mosimane told the City Press in a recent article: "I won't compromise the team with players who are not playing."
And Modise, who started a mere six matches in all competitions for Orlando Pirates this season before joining Sundowns on Friday is understanding.
He told this website: "I haven't spoken to the coach (Mosimane), not yet.
"I mean with all that has been happening with the move it is understandable why we haven't spoken lately.
"I think it will be very fair if he doesn't select me. You can see I haven't been playing and I have been in the papers for the wrong reasons (suspension by Pirates). I want to see myself playing football," concluded Modise.
Mosimane will announce the squad for the encounter on Thursday. The clash serves as preparation for the African Nations Cup qualifier against Egypt in March.
