Mngonyama bags double award

Cape Town – Kwanda Mngonyama received the Player of the Season and the Players’ Player of the Season at Maritzburg United's annual PSL awards.

The 21-year-old played over 2000 minutes during the 2014/15 season for the Team of Choice and made 23 starting line-ups while coming off the bench on two occasions.

The midfielder was a key player in guaranteeing Steve Komphela’s charges finish in the top eight in order to compete in the MTN8 competition next season.

The former Bidvest Wits player ended the campign with two goals to his name having also picked eight yellow cards in the process.
