Mixed messages from Cosmos coaches

Cape Town - Assistant coach of Jomo Cosmos, Siza Dlamini, has said that he believes that Ezenkosi will be able to hang onto their star players, but it has been reported that Jomo Sono thinks otherwise.

Cosmos won promotion to the Absa Premiership once again after a tough round of playoffs which saw Black Leopards and Moroka Swallows lose out.

Dlamini sounded confident of being able to maintain the squad and its star players that worked faithfully to gain promotion.

“At the present moment all our players are contracted to us,” Siza told Sport24.

“Whoever is interested in getting their services will have to go via the management and I doubt after what the boys have done, and with their loyalty, I doubt that it will be easy for teams to get them.”

However, according to IOL Sport Jomo Sono reportedly said otherwise, with regards to keeping their star striker Charlton Mashumba.

It was reported that Sono said that three PSL club and a couple of European ones had already enquired about the availability of the 22-year-old Zimbabwean.
