McGregor: Give Doc a chance

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs legend, Shane McGregor, believes Doctor Khumalo is the best man among local coaches to replace Stuart Baxter as the head coach of Amakhosi.

Speaking with Sport24, the former Amakhosi marksman backed Khumalo for the top position saying he knows Chiefs in and out compared to the other local coaches.

“It’s going to be difficult to get the ideal replacement for Baxter,” said the retired striker.

“But I feel Doctor should be given a chance to lead the team because he has been at the club for a very long time an knows the ins and outs very well.

“I do not think this will be a good time to bring in another local coach rather than giving the job to Doctor.”

McGregor said Baxter’s departure is going to hurt Chiefs a lot, but life should go on as the club has lost a number of important individuals through the years.
