Cape Town - Chippa United’s new signing Mark Mayambela says Kaizer Chiefs are a team
with great players and coach and will always be one of the toughest teams to
beat.
Mayambela, who spent time with Swedish team Djurgarden in the 2014 season after
a six-month deal with Chippa, said that it is games like these that are
a motivation to a player.
“It’s a tough one as we all know Chiefs are one of the best teams with
great players and a great coach, but I think we are all excited about the game
and you can see that everyone wants to play,” he told Sport24.
“Games like these are a motivation by itself, so hopefully come Sunday we will
show up at the stadium and do well.”
The 27-year-old left-winger told Sport24 that he is grateful for the warmth he
has received in Port Elizabeth and how the people are excited for the PSL
season.
“Yes, I have been received with great warmth and love here in PE.”
“People here are excited for the upcoming season and I’m looking forward to
making my debut for Chippa, hopefully on Sunday against Chiefs.”
Mayambela is set to make his Absa Premiership debut for Chippa United when
they take on Amakhosi on Sunday at the Nelson
Mandela Bay Stadium.
Kick-off is at 15:00.
