Mayambela hopes for Benni reunion

Cape Town - Mark Mayambela and Benni McCarthy were teammates at Orlando Pirates and the former hopes that they will reunite once again, this time as player-and-coach.

It is well known that McCarthy is set on becoming a coach in the near future and with Mayambela only 27-years-of-age there is a distinct possibility of a reconnection.

The South African legend is rumoured to be one of Mayambela’s biggest fans having been wowed by the ‘Dribbling Wizard’ on a daily basis at Pirates.

Although Mayambela has just recently signed on at Chippa United he would not rule out the possibility of signing for a team with Benni in charge, in fact he said that he would jump at the opportunity.

“I think I would be the first player he would sign, same with Boa Morte, and I wouldn't hesitate, not one bit!” he told Sport24.
