Matlaba not a Chief

The agent of Orlando Pirates wing-back Thabo Matlaba has dismissed rumours that the player has signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs.

The player's agent has reportedly denied the rumours of a move to rivals Chiefs, according to  KickOff.com.

The agent was quoted as saying that the dynamic wing-back is contractually bound with the Buccanneers for another year. He stated it was untrue that his client has signed a pre-agreement deal which would take Matlaba to the Naturena.

Matlaba has aso been named as part of the AWOL players saga which is currently under investigation by SAFA.

The player is alleged to have failed national team protocol following his call up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the recently completed tour to Australasia.
