Massa relishing Lamola partnership

Bloemfontein - Bloemfontein Celtic striker Geofrey Massa has praised his new striking partnership with Lerato Lamola citing that the pair will guide Phunya Sele Sele to greater heights this season, following their impressive win over Jomo Cosmos.

The Ugandan forward was on target for Celtic as they defeated Cosmos 1-0 in an Absa Premiership clash played at the Free State Stadium on Thursday.

The former University of Pretoria forward is optimistic that his partnership with Lamola will bring plenty of goals for the Free State based outfit as the season goes on.

“I’m happy and really thankful that I am playing alongside Lerato Lamola," said Massa.

“He is a very good player and he talks too much inside the field of play.

“We always organise each other whenever we play together and I think that we’ll score too many goals together as the time goes on.

“It’s all about doing what you do best at training and then give everything when you play matches.

“I’m also glad that I managed to score against Cosmos.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
