Masina back in action

Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces captain and midfielder Dennis Masina is ready to play again after missing their PSL opener through injury, according to reports.

Aces won that opening game away to Free State Stars, beating Ea Lla Koto 1-0 thanks to a goal from Bhongolwethu Jayiya.

The Swaziland international, who was appointed captain by new coach Muhsin Ertugral, also missed most of the pre-season due to injury, but he has now started light training again.

Masina made only sixteen appearances in all competitions last season for the club, scoring once.

A source at the club told Sport24 that Masina has been going through rehab but now he is ready.

"Dennis is ready now," the source said.

“He has started light training and soon he will be back in action.

“I am not sure how long it will take until he is back in the team, but the good thing is that he is back in training.”
