Masilela happy with cagey win

Johannesburg - Tsepo Masilela was happy with his side’s cagey 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic, but knows they were far from their best.

As it happened: Kaizer Chiefs v Bloem Celtic

Masilela bagged another man of the match award after an inspired performance, but down played his individual accolade, choosing to rather acknowledge the team effort on the night.

“I think we didn't play well tonight but we bagged the vital three points at home, which matters most to us,” said Masilela on Kaizer Chiefs website.

“We will improve the performance going forward.”

“The team is collecting vital points at this stage. I am happy with the performance of the team mainly but of course I appreciate the recognition as an individual.”

Masilela picked up his first man of the match in the PSL opener against Free State Stars two weeks ago.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
