Masilela: No special treatment for 'Drogba'

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs head into the battle against AmaZulu without a specific plan on how to deal with the threat posed by Bongani Ndulula, according to Kaizer Chiefs left-back Tsepo Masilela.

AmaZulu and Kaizer Chiefs meet in a top versus bottom Absa Premiership clash at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Glamour Boys were surprisingly held to a draw by Moroka Swallows in their last PSL outing and are focusing on returning to winning ways when they meet AmaZulu.

Tsepo Masilela has been an integral part of the Kaizer Chiefs defence all season and which has conceded just three PSL goals in nine league fixtures in this campaign.

With Bafana Bafana striker Bongani Ndulula now posing a threat to their brilliant defensive record, Masilela has confirmed, in an exclusive interview with Sport24, that his side will treat “Drogba” just like any other attacker in the league.

“No, not at all,” said the 29-year-old defender when asked if Chiefs had a special plan for dealing with Bongani Ndulula.

“Our defensive record says it all. We won’t be changing anything to deal with him.

“There won’t be any special treatment for Ndulula.

“We have continued to train hard but we are not worried about putting any special attention on him.

“We’ve had lots of clean sheets this season and the defenders are playing well, so we won’t be trying to do anything different against Amazulu.”

Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to maintain their 100% away record when they face AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday evening. The match kicks off at 19:30.
