Amakhosi’s football manager, Bobby Motaung, admits that there are ongoing discussions with Chiefs hierarchy about replacing Nkhatha.

“It is true that we are looking at making enforcements to our squad, looking at the tough season we have lined up,” Motaung was quoted by goal.com.

“But as a club we have a policy that we don’t reveal such things to the media until we’ve finalized everything as a club.”

Chiefs, however, have already secured the signing of David Zulu to their ranks with the former Chippa United striker having taken part in his first training session on Monday, January 12.

It has been revealed that Chiefs are lining up to sign Katlego Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns as the Zimbabweans replacement.

There is also the prospect of renewing interest in Free State Stars’ Moeketsi Sekola with the 25-year-old having had a fantastic season for Ea Lla Koto so far.
