Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs defender Tefu Mashamaite has revealed the secret to bailing the Amakhosi out of jail.

Speaking to Chiefs’ official website, Mashamaite revealed that set-pieces often bails the team out of trouble and admitted they work on them in training.

“We regularly work on set-pieces,” Mashamaite said.

“It can help to bail us out, like it did against Rollers.”

Mashamaite was referring to the weekend encounter where Chiefs scored the winning goal in the dying minutes against Gabarone-based club Township Rollers in their CAF Champions League tie.

After making a flying start to the encounter through a Matthew Rusike strike, Rollers clawed their way back into the game during second half and it looked as if the game was headed for a stalemate.

But a late surge from Amakhosi saw Mashamaite head in a goal to secure a 2-1 advantage over Rollers for their away leg.

Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys are up against SuperSport United in a Absa Premiership encounter on Tuesday, February 17.
