Cape Town - Tefu Mashamaite’s agent Jazzman Mahlakgane is expecting to know the fate of the defender with New York City by tomorrow following a ten-day trial with the ambitious MLS side.
“Look, there is not much to say at this stage because talks about his future with New York City are still ongoing,” Makgahlane told Sport24.
“I believe that maybe by tomorrow I will have something on the table.”
The PSL player of the season’s move to the MLS looked unlikely after City signed Colombian defender, Jefferson Mena, with the club having filled their entire quota for international players.
Reports also coming from New York were that the club needs to free-up another international roster to accommodate the deal for the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.
Sport24 have since learned that City are still keen on the former Kaizer Chiefs defender and could soon find himself in the same team as Frank Lampard, David Villa and Andrea Pirlo.
