Masehe out to sink Pirates

Cape Town - Free State Stars captain Paulus Masehe is desperate to beat his former team Orlando Pirates tonight as Ea Lla Koto look to stave off the threat of relegation.

The clubs will meet at Charles Mopeli Stadium, with Stars sitting in the drop zone - four points ahead of bottom-placed Golden Arrows, and two points behind Polokwane City.

City will simultaneously host a struggling Moroka Swallows in their penultimate fixture of the Premiership season, while Arrows take on Durban rivals AmaZulu.

Masehe told his side's official website: "It’s going to be one of those closely-contested matches. Pirates have not been doing well in their League campaign recently and they will want to finish the season on the high note.

"On the other side we desperately need maximum points and one hopes that Swallows beats Polokwane City so we can move away from the play-offs position."
