The 25-year-old has the unusual distinction of having scored on his debut for every junior national side he has represented.

“I feel good and honoured to represent my country,” Masango told Kaizer Chiefs’ official website.

“I was welcomed with open arms which is great for me and everyone else.”

Bafana will take on Sudan in Khartoum on Friday, September 5 at 19:00 SA time, before hosting Nigeria on Wednesday, September 10 (20:00) at the Cape Town Stadium in their first two 2015 AFCON qualifiers.

Masango made three appearances, scoring twice, for South Africa under-17 before moving on to the under-20 team, where he played four times, three of those games coming at the 2009 Fifa under-20 World Cup. Masango scored a consolation in the 6–1 defeat to Germany on 5 September 2009, in a under-20 World Cup warm-up match.

“So far so good I'm enjoying every moment here (Bafana Bafana camp),” he said.

“We are looking forward to the game. We will give our all even though it won't be easy, we need to put up a good fight and be positive,” said Masango who has netted five times for Amakhosi in all competitions.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs’ next PSL encounter is up against University of Pretoria on Saturday, September 13 at 15:00 after the Fifa international break.
