Maritzburg extended their unbeaten record in the league to four matches with a goalless draw away to Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.

The KwaZulu-Natal team has claimed 11 points from five home matches this season.

The Team of Choice is placed third on the Absa Premiership log with 17 points from 11 matches.

Swallows suffered a sixth defeat from their last seven league matches when they were beaten 3-2 at home by University of Pretoria on the weekend.

The Soweto side has claimed four points from as many away matches this season.

The Birds are placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 10 points from 11 matches.

In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Swallows have met in 16 league matches since 2005/06.

The Birds have seven wins compared to four for the Team of Choice, while five matches have been drawn.

Maritzburg have won three of their eight home matches against Swallows down the years, suffering three defeats in the process.

Last season the Team of Choice took four points off the Birds, drawing 1-1 in Soweto before winning the return game 1-0 in Pietermaritzburg.

Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, November 26.
