Cape Town - Former Fulham and Ghana international John Pantsil has joined Maritzberg United.
According to Kickoff.com the defender was reportedly training with Chippa United last week but now has penned a deal which will see him where United colours in the upcoming season.
Pantsil can play right back and slot into defensive midfield and Steve Khompela will likely use these attributes to improve on The Team of Choice PSL standing.
After the 2006 SWC Pantsil moved from Hapoel Tel Aviv where he made 46 appearances and netted 4 goals to West Ham United and then in 2008 was signed by the Cottages, Fulham.
He made 76 appearances for Fulham in a three year stint.
The Ghanaian failed to impress Polokwane City and a deal to agree terms fell through with the club last year which saw him join Santos in the First National Division instead.
Maritzburg have already secured the services of Sibusiso Kumalo and Kwanda Mngonyama on loan from Sundowns.
