Maritzburg seal Hartog deal

Pietermaritzburg - Maritzburg United have confirmed the signing of Ashley Hartog from SuperSport United.

Soccer Laduma's website reports that Maritzburg confirmed the deal on the club’s official website earlier on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Team of Choice.

"We are very pleased with the signing of Ashley which will now increase our options in attack," Commercial manager Younus Kadodia said.

"Ashley will add great experience to the team and we expect him to contribute significantly during his time at the club.

"He is a model professional who is hungry to succeed at this stage of his career and we all believe Maritzburg can be the perfect platform for him to do that," added Kadodia

The club are also said to be finalising a deal to sign Orlando Pirates defender Robyn Johannes.

The player was due to undergo a medical sometime today.

Maritzburg’s technical team are also expected to reach a decision on Derrick Spencer. The former Wits defender was recently on trial at the club.
