Cape Town - Marks Maponyane recently came under fire after criticizing Thabo Rakhale and his fellow trickster Masibusane Zongo on what he deemed to be ineffective use of skills.
Sport24 spoke to the former legend to see why he has been so harsh on the two stars.

"Criticizing is not the word, the word I’d rather use is opinionated on his skills," Maponyane said.
"My opinion would be like any other skill that doesn’t bear fruit to the team; in terms of movement, eliminating an opponent, sharing the ball with the teammates or putting the ball at the back of the net.
"So that is really what I’m talking about.
"There was also something I said about the youngster, Masibusane Zongo, obviously I got attacked left, right and centre.
"That was more of my opinion, I’m more from the old school and I can’t change that.
"So if you are going to be on the field, you need to eliminate your opposition in front of you with impeccable skills so that will end up not necessarily at the back of the field but creating an opening for other teammates."
Maponyane refuses to apologize for his old school views, as he believes there’s more to the game than showboating.
