Maponyane: Ndoro will have to improve

Cape Town - Football analyst, Marks Maponyane, believes that Tendai Ndoro will have to improve on his form from last season in order to stand a chance at securing a starting birth at Orlando Pirates.

The 27-year-old Zimbabwean striker joined the Bucs from Mpumalanga Black Aces recently and has some stiff opposition to contend with at the Soweto club, Maponyane believes.

“It is gonna be a challenge and I’ll tell you why I say so: The season before last he was doing better than last season,” the Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates legend told Sport24.

“He’s got to obviously jack up his act because playing for Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs a lot is expected of you.

“As a striker he is capable; he’s scored some good goals especially two seasons ago."

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
