Cape Town - Bafana Bafana international and Orlando Pirates midfielder Oupa Manyisa insists he is paying no heed to the ongoing speculation over his future.

The 26-year-old was linked with a big-money move to Premiership rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the January transfer window, but ended up rejecting the advances of Pitso Mosimane's side after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

However, Manyisa's contract situation remains unchanged, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the campaign. As such, the transfer rumours have not diminished, despite Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza confirming his intention to offer 'Oupa' a new long-term contract.

Manyisa refuses to allow the recent speculation to distract him, though, telling Soccer Laduma: "It hasn't really affected my game.

"I don't think about it because they are just rumours. I just concentrate on my game and not think about what people say."

Commenting on the reports linking him with Sundowns, Manyisa added: "Just like all the other reports, those were just rumours. For me, my focus is on Orlando Pirates.

"I will give 100 per cent to help the team achieve things."
