Cape Town - Edward Manqele's feud with Mamelodi Sundowns looks no closer to
being resolved after the striker rejected a settlement offer on
Thursday.
The two parties have been battling it out for some time after the striker's proposed switch to Chippa United was blocked and he was told not to come in to train at the club.
Manqele decided to take the Brazilians to the Premier Soccer League's Dispute Resolution Chamber in an attempt to have his contract cancelled, but it appears that even this has not resulted in an agreement.
"Yes, we met with the club today," Josiah Mphono, Manqele's representative, told Soccer Laduma.
"Sundowns proposed a settlement with us, but we couldn’t accept.
"We will be sending a letter to the club tomorrow with our proposal, and if they cannot agree, we will go to the DRC."
It is believed that the case has now been postponed until November 10.
