Cape Town - Edward Manqele’s agent, Josiah Mphono, has confirmed that his client has dropped his case against Sundowns with the Premier Soccer League's Dispute Resolution Chamber.
The striker had taken the Brazilians to the DRC after the club reportedly blocked a move to Chippa United at the beginning of the season, instead instructing him not to come in to training at the club.
However, a move to Chippa has now been confirmed, with Manqele putting pen to a three-year contract with the Port Elizabeth-based club.
With the matter now having progressed, Manqele will not be looking to take any further action against Sundowns.
"We were at the PSL DRC yesterday to withdraw the case. We have finalised everything with Sundowns. The player’s signing with Chippa is complete. We told the DRC that we aren’t continuing with the case," Mphono told Soccer Laduma.
"The onus is on Chippa to register the player. They expect to register him before the end of the week. The player joined Chippa as a free agent and is allowed to be registered at any time."
The Chilli Boys will be hopeful of having Manqele registered by the time they face Bloemfontein Celtic on November 22.
