Manqele apologises to Pitso

Johannesburg - Edward Manqele has declared that he was happy to be back at Mamelodi Sundowns following a loan spell at Moroka Swallows last season.

“I am happy to be back at Sundowns,” he said. “I spoke to the coach on my arrival, and said to him that he should give me a second chance, according to the Mamelodi Sundowns website.

“ I apologised to him and the club and fans for the outbursts I made in the media sometime last season. I explained that it was all emotional, and that I am prepared to give 100% and fight for a place in the coach’s starting line-up. I am prepared to fix things. My team-mates also welcomed me – and I look forward to making amends,” the lethal striker said.

Pitso Mosimane and his technical team have been taking the players through their paces in preparation for the 2014/15 season.
