Maluleka calls for consistency

Johannesburg - Ahead of their first tough test of the season against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend, Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder George Maluleka believes that his teammates will continue with their tremendous form which earned them 28 points out of the possible 30 so far in the 2014/15 campaign.

The run-away log leaders will lock horns with the PSL reigning champions at the FNB stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking exclusively to Sport24 on Tuesday, the former Ajax Cape Town Ace said the Glamour Boys will play their normal game as a team and will be all out to grab the maximum points against the Brazilians.

Maluleka also hinted that there is no secret weapon as a result of their good run this season, but they are just working together as an ambitious team.

"There is no secret weapon at all," Maluleka told Sport24.

"We are a team with goals and ambitions and we always play as a team.

"We know what we want and I think that could be our only secret.

"On Saturday against Sundowns it will be the same Chiefs that you have seen throughout the season, nothing different.

"But it’s always difficult when we play against Sundowns but we have to do our best because we want results to come our away.

"But we are also going to play our normal game without pressurising ourselves."

Maluleka, 25, is most likely to feature for this weekend clash after spending few weeks on the sideline due to an injury.

Heading to this encounter, Chiefs are coming from a hard fought 2-1 win over the struggling AmaZulu a fortnight ago while Sundowns played to a goalless draw against Black Aces.

Kick-off is at 15:30.
