Malawi set for Mbombela tie

Cape Town - National First Division side Mbombela United will play an international friendly game against Malawi national team next week.

The Malawi national team will be camping in Nelspruit as they prepare for their Afcon qualifier against Swaziland.

The game will be played in Nelspruit on Wednesday, September 2 and United chairman Skhumbuzo Matsebula confirmed the game to Sport24.

"Yes it's true we are playing against Malawi national team next week as we help them prepare for their important game against Swaziland," Matsebula said.

"It's also very important for us as a team to play against a national team and it's a great honour for them to consider playing against us.

"We will learn a lot from them and hopefully that will help us in our campaign in the National First Division."
