Malajila made an inspired return to the Mamelodi Sundowns starting eleven where the Zimbabwean international scored a brace, helping his side register a comfortable 2-0 victory.
‘Mala’ as the player is affectionately known says he was itching to make the team because he has always scored against AmaZulu and was feeling confident ahead of the clash.
“When the coach read out the starting XI, I was excited to hear my name because AmaZulu have always my favorite team to play against,” said Malajila to the Sundowns’ website.
“I have now scored six goals in six matches against them (AmaZulu) starting from my time with Maritzburg United and I always look forward to facing them.”
“I know it’s only psychological but sometimes as a striker that’s all the boost you need for you confidence levels.”
