Cape Town - Mahlatse Makudubela has issued a bold statement to Platinum stars fans, stating he is ready to fill the void left by the departing Mogakolodi Ngele.
Makudubela has set his sights on taking over the number 11 jersey vacated by the fleet-footed winger, who recently signed for Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 27-year-old is confident he can step up this season and believes the return of Cavin Johnson will inspire the club to better performances following a dismal 2014/2015 campaign where Dikwena fell short of expectations by finishing the season without any silverware and 11th in the Premiership standings.
Makudubela told the PSL's official website: "With the philosophy that Coach Cavin Johnson brought to the club ever since he returned, I feel success awaits the team. He has a father figure role and he wants us to succeed.
"With Coach Cavin, it is a beautiful relationship we have because he instills inspiration in us as players under him."
The former Mamlodi Sundowns trainee has attracted interest the likes of Bloemfontein Celtic in recent times but remains committed to Dikwena, and with inspiring performances in the back end of last season's campaign, he looks set to feature heavily in a rejuvenated Platinum Stars side.
