Makola: I feel appreciated at Bucs

Cape Town - Mpho Makola was handed a new three-year contract at Orlando Pirates and he told Sport24 that the club’s decision to extend has made him feel appreciated.

Makola had his contract extended along with Oupa Manyisa to the delight of Bucs fans.

“It feels great man,” Makola said in a chat with Sport24.

“It’s good to know that I am appreciated here.”

Makola along with Manyisa were two of Pirates’ star performers last season and their stay at the club comes as good news after a disappointing loss to Egyptian side, Zamalek, on Saturday.

Pirates lost 2-1 to the Egyptian giants in a CAF Confederation Cup group game at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit as they were let down defensively after a good first half performance.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
