Cape Town - Orlando Pirates midfielder Mpho Makola reveals that he is glad that Dean Furman is plying is trade in the PSL.
Furman penned a two-deal with SuperSport United and will don the number eight jersey for the Pretoria club.
Makola, who has been the fan favourite among the Ghost, says he is definitely looking forward to playing alongside Furman and that he is another Steven Pienaar with great sportsmanship.
“It’s really good that Dean Furman is back in the country you know," he told Sport24.
“He is definitely another Steven Pienaar, he is a quality player and he knows how to control the ball on the field and he has great sportsmanship.
“That is what SuperSport needed and I am also glad that he is back in the national team and made the squad.
“It will be really great playing alongside him and making the country proud. I wish him all the best back in the PSL. We are ready to showcase for sure."
The midfielder also made the Bafana Bafana squad that will take on Mauritania in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017 said that he is feeling very humble to have been selected by Shakes Mashaba and is excited to make the nation proud.
“I am very excited. This is every footballer’s team when making the national squad and I am looking forward to making the nation proud and my team proud.
"I have to pay the coaches back for believing in me. There is always pressure in football, always on a certain level.
“You always have to perform to the best of your ability not only for yourself but for everyone else who has believed in you from the very beginning."
