Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates striker Lehlohonolo Majoro admits he is
flattered to currently be amongst the starting XI for the Carling Black
Label Cup.
According to the Football411 website, the competition sees supporters of both the Buccaneers and Kaizer
Chiefs place their votes for who they feel should play in the annual
pre-season friendly, which was won by the Glamour Boys in 2013.
Former Amakhosi forward Majoro was, at the last time of counting,
Pirates' most popular striker in the polls with 394 724 votes, and says
he is thrilled to discover just how much his new fans appreciate his
contributions.
"I have not seen them (the votes) but I am told that I have been
receiving a lot of votes. It is a good match to play in because everyone
will be watching, but let’s see," the former AmaZulu ace told Pirates'
official website.
"The feeling is good. I just want to be training harder in these
last days of preparations because in the derby we have to be well
prepared."
Majoro had decided last year's Carling Black Label Cup when he
fired home the winning goal for Chiefs, and will now be looking to
repeat the feat when he walks out with Pirates for the July 26 showpiece
encounter.
