Majoro: Best is still to come

Majoro arrived at Naturena from AmaZulu at the start of the season and has scored 15 goals in 25 starts for the Glamour Boys, which is one strike less than his season tally with Usuthu.

However, the Bafana Bafana international says the slight dip in form is to be expected, given the pressure that comes with playing for one of South Africa's most decorated clubs.

"I knew when I joined Kaizer Chiefs that I was going to be put under a lot of pressure and I know people were asking themselves why Chiefs signed me," Majoro told Football411.

"I understood because people have seen a lot of players in the past who performed well for smaller clubs only to fail with the big teams so I knew they would be watching me, but on the other hand I knew I was not a one-season wonder. I came to Chiefs because it was my long-term goal to play for the club.

"So I came here well prepared mentally for the challenge of playing for the team and I was well aware of the expectations that I must score goals. I think I have improved a lot. I have improved in terms of my thinking and the timing of my runs so I'm hoping to score many goals next season so I can help the club win trophies.

However, the 25-year-old admits there is still room for improvement.

"I have improved and matured as a player since arriving at Chiefs, but it doesn't mean I must stop learning. I think I still need to work on my first touch, so there is still room for improvement," Majoro concluded.
