Cape Town - Fani Madida insists he is eagerly anticipating testing himself
against Kaizer Chiefs as he prepares for his debut as Moroka Swallows
coach on Wednesday.
The tactician has overseen just one training session since being named as caretaker coach this week following Zeca Marques' decision to step down from the hot seat after a disastrous run of results this season.
And Madida, who represented Amakhosi as a player between 1987 and 1992, is not at all daunted by what promises to be a baptism of fire, given the fact Chiefs have enjoyed a 100 percent start to the season with 13 wins from 13 in all competitions.
"You couldn't ask for a better opening as a coach, because it's self-motivation for the team, and for me. Chiefs made me into the person I am today," Madida said.
Swallows have lost their last five matches in all competitions and sit 12th in the Premiership standings, five points above the relegation zone after eight matches, leading to Marques' decision to quit.
