Mabunda wants to leave Chloorkop

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Tiyani Mabunda is unhappy with the lack of game time he has been getting and has reportedly asked for a move away from the club.

The former Black Leopards player joined the Brazilians in 2013 but has yet to start a PSL game for the club, having spent the whole of last season on loan with Free State Stars.

He did not feature, not even off the bench, in either Sundaowns' MTN8 quarter-final, which they lost on penalties to Bloemfontein Celtic, or the opening game of the Absa Premiership season, a 0-0 draw against Platinum Stars.

The tough tackling midfielder is aware that he is not in Pitso Mosimane's plans for this season and has implored the club's management to allow him to depart, whether it be another loan deal or a permanent transfer.

"I want to go where I will play - whether it's a loan or permanent move - as long as I will be playing football," he told KickOff.

"I understand I am not in the coach's plans for this season. I wouldn't want to put the coach under the spotlight or blame him.

"I was undergoing a rehabilitation programme and did not feature in pre-season. I would just prefer to move where I can continue playing football."
