Cape Town - Mpumalanga Black Aces goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is
anticipating an intense outing during their visit of Mamelodi Sundowns
at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
AmaZayoni are currently tied for third place on 15 points with the defending league champions, which sets up a battle where the two teams will be looking to peal off and push for the runners-up spot after Wednesday night.
Mabokgwane has not hidden his desire to get one over his former side and increase Aces' chances of being among the contenders in this campaign.
"It will definitely be a heated encounter considering both sides needs the points that will take them to second place on the log standings," he told his club's website.
"We need the maximum points to ensure we at least keep the pressure on the log leaders while steadily maintaining our place in the top half of the table standings."
Aces have been unbeaten in their last six outings in the league, while Sundowns are enjoying a five-game unbeaten streak of their own coming into this match.
