Cape Town - University of Pretoria Football Club have competed the signing of defender, Kabelo Lichaba, from Polokwane City.
The signing was confirmed by the AmaTuks' website and the left-back will join up with Sammy Troughotn’s charges this week.
"So far we like what we see. He is a strong and tall player and he is holding his own,” Troughton said.
“We tried to sign him two years ago when he was still playing in the NFD but were beaten to his signature so we are happy to finally have him in our ranks.”
Lichaba played under Kosta Papic’s high-risk system that prioritises the domination of ball-possession and territory but he will have to learn to adapt his game to the slightly more conservative approach utilised by Tuks.
“Keep in mind that he might be used to a style of play which is different from what we might want from him but we will give him a bit of time to adjust,” said Troughton.
