Johannesburg - Two second-half goals ensured a hard-fought 2-1 win for Black Leopards against Santos in their Absa Premiership match in Polokwane on Wednesday.
The teams went into the half-time break locked at 0-0.
Rodney Ramagalela put Leopards in the lead in the 47th minute with a well-timed righted-footed shot into the bottom of the net.
Thomas Madimba then doubled the home side's lead in the 55th minute with a left-footed volley after a pass from Raymond Monama.
Santos hit back immediately through Eleazar Rodgers in the 58th minute, who scored from the penalty spot after a handball from Leopards' Humphrey Khoza.
Matthew Pattison's shot looked to have been successfully blocked by Khoza, but the referee judged the block to be a handball, and awarded the penalty.
But Leopards held on for the win to move above Santos into 14th place on the Premiership table with 20 points, while Santos slip down to 15th with 19 points.
