Thohoyandou - Black Leopards head coach Zeca Marques says his ambition is to do well in the upcoming NFD/PSL promotion and relegation playoffs which will be their golden ticket to the Absa Premiership next season.

Leopards finished third in the 2014/15 NFD campaign following a 2-0 triumph over African Warriors at Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.

Lidoda Duvha will be competing for a PSL spot against Moroka Swallows and NFD counterparts Jomo Cosmos.

'Lollipop' believes it will not be an easy ride to the top.

“We cannot predict what the future holds but we can always hope for greater results,” Marques told Sport24 in an exclusive interview on Monday

“But our mission is to do well in the upcoming NFD/PSL promotion playoffs.

“Our ambition is to go all the way to the PSL just like the other two teams who we will be competing against.

“We want to participate with the rest in the top flight campaign next season.

“I believe it’s possible to achieve that but it’s not going to be easy at all because we’ll be competing with two good teams for the PSL status but we are going to give it our best shot.”

Leopards will face Cosmos at home in their first playoff game on Sunday.

Kick-off is set for 15:00.
