Thohoyandou - Black Leopards have confirmed that Roggert Nyundu is still a part of the club and has not joined Bidvest Wits.
Despite Wits confirming the capture of the Leopards striker earlier this week, Lidoda Duvha spokesperson Barry Ramunenyiwa reassured that the big forward will be staying with the Venda based outfit.
"I can confirm that Roggert Nyundu is still a Black Leopards player at the moment," revealed Ramunenyiwa.
"As from the 1st of this month [August], Nyundu was officially a Leopards player from Polokwane City.
"We all know that he has been with us last season on loan and recently he was rumoured to be leaving but still he was in our books."
Wits coach Gavin Hunt said that they have acquired the services of the 27-year-old target but Ramunenyiwa dismissed those speculations, citing that Nyundu penned a three-year deal with Lidoda duvha.
"He recently signed a three-year contract with us and this coming season you will still see him at the Thohoyandou stadium.
"He is still on holidays but he will come back to join the team in camp in the upcoming few days.
"We don’t know any details about him signing for Bidvest Wits."
Hunt could not be reached for comment on this matter when contacted by Sport24 on Friday, August 7.
