Lentjies has been a regular feature for the Team of Choice this
term and expressed his desire to remain at the club for the foreseeable future.
"Yes, my contract is coming to an end at the end of
this season but we are negotiating and we will see what we can work out between
me and the club," Lentjies told KickOff.
"Of course I want to stay and which player doesn't want
to play in the Top 8?
"What's the use of going down and joining another team
that is not in the top eight? I want to stay, no doubt about that."
Maritzburg secured eighth place with a 2-1 win over AmaZulu
on Saturday, the first time in the club's history they have finished in the top
half, and has heaped praise on coach Steve Komphela.
