Johannesburg - Veteran skipper Orlando Pirates Lucky Lekgwathi will have to wait a little longer before he wears the Bucs’ shirt in an official match this season.

The 38-year-old has been sent for a medical test, as the Bucs’ medics work around the clock to have the defender back in full training.
The team’s medical department confirmed on that Lekgwathi started light training on Monday, August 25.
“Lucky started light training on Monday,” the medical team confirmed.
“He will go for a medical test on Tuesday (August 26).”
“So far he is okay. We need to know how ready he is to resume full training with the rest of the squad that is why he is going for a medical test.”

Lekgwathi sustained an injury on his left leg, which has kept him away from training for the past two weeks.
Meanwhile Pirates face Mamelodi Sundowns in a midweek PSL encounter on Wednesday, August 27 at 19:30.
