Cape Town - Following their poor start to the year, Orlando Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi insists that his team-mates will go all out to grab maximum points when they face Ajax Cape Town on Monday night.
The Ghosts will host the Urban Warriors in an Absa Premiership encounter at the Orlando Stadium.
Pirates are coming off a 1-all stalemate against AmaZulu last week.
Speaking on the club’s official website, “Phinda Mzala” said he is confident that his charges will bring back the smiles to their loyal supporters as the players have had enough of disappointments.
“Our supporters must be patient; we are really pushing hard. We will need a lot of support in the next few days as we will play a lot of matches in a short space of time,” said Lekgwathi
“We will give our all against Ajax and I hope we will come out on top at the end of the match.
“We have to do something to get the results we want… it has been hard, but we had enough time to prepare and I am confident we will get something out of this game.”
Heading into the clash, Pirates are ninth on the log standings, with the Mother City side in eighth spot.
The two sides are separated by two points.
Ajax will play their first game without their head coach, Mushin Etugral, who resigned as last week to take responsibilities of his family business back home in Turkey.
Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 19:30.
