According to Goal.com, George Lebese’s contract is due to expire at the end of June 2015 and the Glamour Boys are eager for the left-footed winger to ink an extension to his current deal before the end of the year.
The 25-year-old has been working well under the guidance of Stuart Baxter since the 61-year-old took over Amakhosi back in 2012.
Rumours in the local football linked Lebese with a swap deal involving Mamelodi Sundowns Edward Manqele but such a deal never transpired.
Lebese, who has been on the books of the Glamour Boys since 2008, has been in fine form this season which has seen him match last season's goal tally of two goals in his first ten games for the Amakhosi.
Kaizer Chiefs are preparing to defend their unbeaten record in the Absa Premiership when they take on Ajax Cape Town in a top of the table clash at Cape Town Stadium on Sunday, October 19.
Kick-off is at 15:30.
